Media text- Language and power
Newspapers change the language used to meet the needs of
their intended audience
In a diverse society we live in today, individuals consist
of different wants and needs from one another. Newspapers adjust their articles
to meet this acquisition that exists, with people reading newspapers for a
variety of reasons. Many wish to be informed or entertained, and some may wish
to flick through for specific news stories they wish to read, however others
may wish to read for more in depth. This allows newspapers to be able to separate
themselves from one another through language and other elements to meet the
needs of their intended audience.
